Find free school supplies throughout Tarrant County this summer

According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, school supply prices have increased nearly 25% since 2021.

And last summer, parents were mindful of their wallets when purchasing school supplies. A Deloitte survey found that spending per child on school supplies fell 10% last year, from $661 the year before to $597 per child.

Families are not alone in this problem. According to the National Education Association, teachers spend an average of $500 to $750 of their own money each year on the materials their students need.

If you can’t afford crayons for your children or if you’re a teacher who can’t afford to spend money on your job, organizations, community leaders and school districts in Fort Worth are here to help.
