If he is not lost at sea with Vaiana – The wonderful world of loveMaui makes dreams come true.

Dwayne Johnson, who lent his voice to the shape-shifting demigod in the 2016 Disney film, is not only taking on the role for the upcoming sequel, Vaiana 2 – The Great Adventure – he recently recreated the voice of a special little girl.

On Sunday, Johnson posted a video on Instagram to respond to a time-sensitive request from the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

“I have received a request that I want to share with you,” Johnson said to the camera. “Sharing this request is in the spirit of Make-A-Wish, a foundation that is very close to my heart.”

He continued, “This is a special Make-A-Wish request and is called a rush wish. And a rush wish means what the implication sounds like, which is that time is just not on our side.”

Johnson then said the wish was for a four-year-old girl named Lily, who is currently living in a hospice at home.

He explained: “She is watching Vaiana – The wonderful world of love every day, all day, her father said, and her wish is for Dwayne Johnson to sing ‘You’re Welcome’ to her and record it so she can listen to it over and over again.”

The former wrestler then reveals that he is sitting at a piano, but jokes, “I’m actually not good at the piano,” and instead plays a recording of the song written by Lin-Manuel Miranda, which he sings along to.

Following his performance, Johnson addresses Lily directly.

“Thank you for allowing me the privilege of making your wish come true,” he said. “I sang ‘You’re Welcome’ in probably a few keys that don’t even exist. I hope you enjoyed it, and Lily, you are very special.”

He reiterated this sentiment in the caption of his video, urging his followers to send Lily “all the positive vibes and beautiful MANA she deserves and needs right now.”

Johnson will next take up Maui’s mantle in the highly anticipated sequel Moana 2, when he reunites with Auli’i Cravalho’s now-elderly Moana to reunite her people “across the ocean.” The film is set to hit theaters on November 27.

Disney is currently working on a live-action adaptation of Vaiana – The wonderful world of lovestarring Johnson and Catherine Laga’aia.
