(The Center Square) – Governor Jay Inslee’s office has officially denied an alleged real estate purchase in Idaho that will be used for “retirement savings.”

In a post on X, the Idaho Tribune wrote: “We’ve heard rumors that Washington Gov. Jay Inslee has purchased a retirement home in Hayden Lake, Idaho. Is Gov. Inslee, the man who presided over the vaccinations, the devastating Antifa riots and the anarchist zones like CHOP, welcome in Idaho?”

However, Executive Director of Communications Jamie Smith wrote in an email: “This is not true, pure rumor.” AP

However, when The Center Square reached out to Inslee’s office about the alleged purchase, Executive Director of Communications Jamie Smith wrote in an email, “This is untrue, pure rumor.”

Inslee currently owns a home on Bainbridge Island. He will step down as governor in January after announcing he will not seek re-election after three consecutive terms.
